# Tin Brass

Lost Wax Casting

**Material Info**

### About

**Tin Brass** is a copper-based alloy containing approximately 80% copper, 15% zinc, and 5% tin. It is valued for its warm metallic appearance, fine detail resolution, and premium finish, making it ideal for jewelry, accessories, decorative objects, and miniatures.

This material captures intricate details while delivering the look and feel of solid metal parts. Over time, Tin Brass may develop a natural patina, which can be polished to restore its original luster. During finishing, external surfaces are polished, while tight internal features may remain unpolished.

More information about this printing technology can be found [Here](/content/3d-print-material-technology/wax-casting/index.html).

### Color & Finishes

**Natural**

Natural 3D Brass printing offers a light polish, resulting in a somewhat rough surface with a matte finish.

**Polished**

Hand-polished to achieve a smooth, shiny finish; lightly smooths sharp edges and fine details.
