ABOUT EYEBEAM: Founded in 1997, Eyebeam was conceived as a non-profit art and technology center dedicated to exposing broad and diverse audiences to new technologies and media arts, while simultaneously establishing and demonstrating new media as a significant genre of cultural production. Eyebeam primarily supports projects that have real-world impact and encourages work that is paradigm shifting within a large spectrum of genres. Eyebeam sees the concerns of Public Knowledge as central to a more open society.

ABOUT PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE: Founded in 2001, Public Knowledge has established itself as the premiere public interest organization working to ensure policy that provides the public broad access to an open internet and the wealth of knowledge and creativity it contains. Public Knowledge is also involved with issues surrounding emerging technology such as 3D printing and open source hardware.

Shapeways is excited to partner with these outstanding institutions as they create this new residency, and I encourage you to apply!
