Iron Man 2 uses 3D printing

Objet, the company that makes the printers that we use for White, Transparent & Black detail is really doing well in the movie business! After effects artists using Objet printers won 3 Oscars, now the mega hit bearing down on all of us: Iron Man 2, uses them also. Fast Company has the entire story & on Gizmodo there is an interview with the guy that actually made Iron Man.

To make Tony Stark’s 3D printed glove they use one of the same machines we also use, the Objet Eden. The paintwork though is stunning and really shows what some paint can do to a 3D printed model!
