# Fixing Maya Full Color VRML

April 23, 2010

**A tutorial thanks to [Akeno](/content/shops/bigglebutt/index.html)**

Anyone who has attempted to output a full color VRML will be sure to have run into the occasional issue where once a texture is mapped and your model is not quite manifold, fixing the manifold can sometimes destroy the texture mapping. Shapeways community member [Akeno](/content/shops/bigglebutt/index.html) of The Biggle Emporium has taken the time to put together a [tutorial](/content/tutorials/fixing_maya_full_color_vrml_with_magics/index.html) on how to overcome the problem using [Milkshape 3D](http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/), [Magics RP](http://www.materialise.com/Magics-e-Solution-Suite) and [Maya](http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=13577897) (though other modeling packages should work in a similar manner).

A big thanks to [Lin Padawer](/content/hisdesign?user_id=21872/index.html) for sharing this tutorial. If anyone else has any tips on how to overcome issues such as this please do not hesitate to share them in the [forum](/content/forum/index.php?t=i&cat=12&S=4f5aad29b992db7f334f5cf69f491e89/index.html) or send us an email.
